Partnerships
The effectiveness of our
electric power,
telecommunication, and
SCADA / Smart Grid solutions across so many industries owes much to the business partnerships and affiliations we’ve established. After all, information flows bo

th ways in these kinds of relationships – to the mutual benefit of each party.
In 2009 Spectrum Engineering was named a Corning FTTxpert®, making us only the 50th network design consultant in Corning’s 160-year-plus history. Corning developed the FTTxpert Program as a tool to help network designers keep pace with the ever-changing products, technologies, and standards affecting the FTTx industry. By gathering the many resources needed by consultants in one central location, network designers will have quick and easy access to the tools they use most.
We also have business-partner arrangements with the Environmental Systems
Research Institute (Esri), a world leader in computer-based mapping. We serve as an Esri application developer, leveraging the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for our clients.
Rockwell SoftwareR is another strategic partner of ours with whom we’re developed a next-generation SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system using commercially available off-the-shelf software and hardware.
Among the other notable organizations with whom we have partnerships, associate memberships, or affiliations are …
- Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)
- American Public Power Association (APPA)
Indiana Municipal Electric Association (IMEA – Associate member)- American Municipal Partner (AMP-Ohio Municipal Partner)
- Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI)
- Indiana Chamber of Commerce
- Illinois Municipal Utilities Association (IMUA - Associate member)
- Fiber to the Home Council (FTTH)
